Ana Samson Betita also known as Mayen has finally told her story about her love for Tim Cumper and how he hurt her, her family, her friends, and co-workers.Noemi Dado of Filipina Images has published a video interview with Mayen where she tells, once and for all, her side of the story.Much of it is in Tagalog but she mixes enough English for us to get the basic idea of what she’s saying.I read Noemi’s account of her interview and watched the video too.I could see that she’s a strong woman and I admire that. But I can’t help but see how she kept smiling to keep from crying. She was understandably emotional through the whole interview.Noemi asked Mayen if she had anything to say to Tim Cumper and to be honest I was a bit surprised by her answer.I loved you…I took care of you when you were here…you were a part of me…I hope you are OK…and I forgive you.I don’t know who she does it! All I can say is God bless her!

Tierra Maria Estate Scam Hoax Alert - The Hoax Finally Deflated!

In the next few days, possibly sooner, Tim Cumper and his Tierra Maria Estates Scam Hoax will be put to rest once and for all.

Being the first to expose the Philippine Hospital Scam as a hoax was an honor. But so many others took the ball and ran with it. It’s their efforts that have effectively neutralized him. It’s been fun watching it grow like it has.

Within the next day or so the door will be slammed in his face leaving absolutely zero room for question.

    Don’t touch that dial!!!

About two weeks ago Crisanta Lopez Nagano aged 33 and your seven month od son Naomasa were brutally murdered by Masayoshi Nagano the husband and father of the two victims.

Reports claim he planed to kill himself after stabbing to death his wife then strangling his seven month old son. But he just didn’t have the balls to follow through with the rest of his plan.

Filpina Dating Sites Improve Filipina Economic Status according to Akojo owner

    Posted on March 30, 2008
Filed Under Fight Human Trafficking, Long Distance Relationships, Commentary | 5 Comments

When I wrote the article “Filipina Dating Sites-Do they Create a Healthy Filipina image?” I asked 8 simple questions of the original poster on The Filipina Images article “Filtering Dating Site ads”. I had hoped the owner of Akojo Filipina dating website would come to The Fil-Am Forum Report and state his case. Well He did. Read it here.

During some back and forth in the comments section I got a little distracted from the original eight questions asked. These questions were:

    1. How does commercialization of Filipinas promote a healthy image of Filipinas?

    2. Are you saying that by pasting their pictures all over the Internet will help them realize their full potential as a true Filipina?

    3. Does meeting a Foreigner help them realize their true essence, or potential, as a Filipina?

    4. Wouldn’t their full potential be realized by meeting the right man for them? A man who loves, honors and respects them regardless of the nationality?

    5. How does this help them realize their full potential by meeting only foreign men?

    6. Does meeting a foreigner on dating sites help raise their status in society?

    7. Are you saying this is the only available source of E-commerce this family could participate in?

    8. I simply ask you how does your commercialization of Filipinas help their image?

After reading his replies over and over again I admit I was still stumped. Why hadn’t he answered my questions? Why is he trying to redirect the attention from him to the Filipina Womens Network and their documentary and fund raiser “Usaping Puki”? A Filipina Version of “The Vagina Monologues”

Why was this so important to him?

I soon realized he’s using some good mis-information tactics and that’s ok! I like the challenge. But I wanted was some answers my self! These answers were for the eight questions listed above. I soon realized that in his replies he had embedded the answer to most of my questions in just one simple paragraph.

“My thoughts, but not my conclusions on the question are these: Maybe they actually find Caucasian men very attractive, maybe they feel that if they find real true love with a foreign man, they can migrate to a country where they can earn ten-fold, twenty-fold, even thirty-fold what they are earning now, if gainfully employed in the same area of expertise. That would amount to ‘Escaping the socio-economic climate in the Philippines’ and migrating to a country which offers more potential and greater renumeration, recognition and reward for their achievement.”

There you have it. It’s only about the money and green card. Only once in this 94 word statement was love mentioned. Nowhere in this 94 word statement was family mentioned. Nowhere in the 94 word statement was commitment mentioned. This statement, if read by the wrong man, would think “Green Card” seeker and “Gold Digger.”

My Question remains….how does this elevated the image of Filipinas? Sadly, for so many people this IS the image and stereotype of a Filipina and exactly what Filipina Images is fighting. Does this also suggest that the only way a Filipina can meet a foreigner is through a dating site?

Just begin to imagine for the next few minutes…a man, we’ll call him Steve, Steve is sitting at his computer and he’s just joined AkoJo, Cherry Blossoms, or Filipina Heart. While he’s searching the profiles when he starts to get instant messages from the Filipina members. Many of them are beautiful of course and they, instead of putting their best foot forward, just come right out and tell him directly…

“Listen Steve I’m well educated and want to come to America to realize my full potential in my career. I might grow to love you but I can’t promise. But if you will give me the opportunity to escape my socio-economic climate here I’ll do the best I can. How ’bout it Steve?”

What do you think Steve will begin to think every time he’s approached like this? He might say to himself “If that’s the way the game is played then I will find the prettiest Filipina I can for a trophy wife…well at least for the time being. Until she leaves me. But until then I’ll have fun.” This has just created the “shopping” mentality on the Steve’s part and last but not least….reduced the Filipina to a commodity that will go to the highest bidder!

How would this enhance the Filipina Image? Do tell.

Owner of Filipina Dating Site Akojo Responds to Accusations

    Posted on March 26, 2008
Filed Under Long Distance Relationships, Commentary | 12 Comments

Hello, thank you for publishing my comment.

Re: “I don’t run a matchmaking / dating site as you mentioned in your comments” You may have misunderstood me, or I may have been unclear, sorry.
The last part of my comment was a quote from a comment (number 16) by noemi at http://filipinaimages.com/filter-filipina-dating-site-ads/#comment-740

filipinaimages.com is a site that has chosen to censor my comments, along with intellectualwank.laurganism.com. You will notice that comment number 14 by my wife Leny, questions where her husband’s comments have gone. Then comment number 15 by noemi suggests that Leny’s husband’s comments will be made into a special entry or some such thing. I am Leny’s husband, we live in the Philippines, and we run a 100% free dating site. I took some offence at being accused of capitalising on Filipina, my site being labelled as a meat market, and my wife and I being labelled as Meat Vendors. We run a completely free site, no porn and no profit and no capital income; we don’t vend, sell anything, nor do we exoticise poverty, there are no Filipina in shopping carts, we have no shopping carts.

So I raised some questions about the Filipina Womens Network selling seats to documentaries about Filipina puki at fifteen hundred dollars a seat, now that is some serious capitalisation of Filipina, a highly profitable commodity, so it seems.

Anyway I won’t bore you with endless repetition, the final word from filipinaimages.com was ‘Go publish it on your own website’, which I did; if you are inclined you can read it here (http://www.akojo.com/Filipina_Womens_Network.aspx). I pulled no punches, it is an exact transcript of the comment I submitted to filipinaimages.com

We developed our site for one reason and one reason only; we were constantly approached, daily in the streets and in the markets, by Filipina asking assistance to find a foreigner. We are regularly handed envelopes with contact information and a photo, Filipina women asking ‘get me one’.

I am brought low and humbled on a daily basis at the need, the poverty, the hardship and the standard of life, which these beautiful people endure. My heart breaks when I drive from manila airport and see the great ‘squatters wall’ constructed by the manila council as an ‘urban beautification project’, to hide from the public view, the image of squatters living in abhorrent poverty, housed in plywood packing crates with tarpaulins for a roof. While on the other side of the highway, million dollar mansions belonging to the affluent. The FilipinaImages campaign is another ’squatters wall’ another ‘urban beautification project’ that seeks only to improve the image of the affluent Filipina, mainly in the USA, it is out of touch with reality and where the rubber hits the road, it lacks credence and has now moved from being a guardian of the truth, to suppressor of the truth, for where censorship exists, there propaganda is fostered.

    Alan
